Featured Family Events in November

Fall
The lakeshore communities of West Michigan do a fantastic job of hosting events and activities that include the whole family. There's so much happening that is geared specifically toward kids and families as a whole, and that's part of what makes being here so amazing!

Every season in West Michigan has it's unique, fun things to do for kids of all ages- from babies up to the "young at heart". Indoors or outdoors, no matter the time of year, there's always something great going on along the lakeshore for families to experience together!

In addition to the following list, check out the events happening throughout the month at Sandcastles Children's Museum and the Ludington and Scottville branches of the Mason County District Libraries!

Here's a list of family friendly events happening along the lakeshore in November:



Wednesday, November 14th from 8am-5pm and Thursday, November 15th from 7am-2pm


Books Unlimited Sale at Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital's medical office building lobby- 1 N. Atkinson Dr. in Ludington. Proceeds benefit Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Volunteer's pledge to support the Family Birthing Center.


Saturday, November 17th and Sunday, November 18th


Christmas in Onekama featuring an arts and crafts show, bake sale, silent auction and chili cook-off Saturday and tree lightning, memorial name reading, caroling, and refreshments on Sunday. Visit onekama.info for more information.

Book Hunter's Sale at the White Book House behind the Manistee Library- 95 Maple St. in Manistee.


Thursday, November 22nd, 8am


Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital Win with Wellness annual Turkey Trot 5k at Cartier Park in Ludington- meet at Rath/Bryant parking area. Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome.


November 24th-January 1st, 5-10pm nightly


Sparkle in the Park at Hopkins Park Campground- 7700 Lake St. in Bear Lake. See thousands upon thousands of Christmas lights set up in nearly 50 holiday displays. Admission free but donations are welcomed.


Saturday, November 24th


10am-8pm - Christmas Festivities and Aglow on the Avenue Parade in downtown Ludington.

5pm - Christmas in the Village in downtown Pentwater.

6-8:30pm - Silver Lake Community Tree Lighting Festivities at Golden Township Park in Silver Lake.


Friday, November 30th, 8pm


The Nutcracker at the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts- 101 Maple St. in Manistee. Visit ransdelltheatre.org for more information.
